Sleeping Babies! Tirzah reminds us of Vijay in so many ways and it is still an adjustment to remember that she is a girl.

During the break we finally got to see where Cameron works (Mom - I'm wearing the jewelry you sent - thanks!).

Our friends Laney and Sarah Stroup had their first little one just after the start of the New Year. Her name is Noelle, which is Tirzah's middle name.

We've had recent visits from Gayle, Nanci, and Xiaxuan to see little Tirzah.

No, they didn't sleep on the same bed. Vineetha woke up after her nap so daddy went in with sleeping Tirzah and put her next to Vijay (who was still sleeping) and then put Vineetha next to her.
Family Man driving the Family Van! Over the break God provided us a 2004 Honda Odyssey! We'd hoped to buy it while Cameron was home for the three weeks but didn't know how it would all work out with a new baby and recovering Mommy. Anita came to our aid once again and watched our older two while we went to check out a couple of vans. Thankfully we found one that we liked on that same day. We're even more thankful that we were able to pay for it outright...it's all ours!
We had a yummy dinner and wonderful fellowship with the Steinmeyers. They brought the best tri-tip steak and told us how to make it. We've tried a few times since then but we haven't been able to match their mouth-watering masterpiece. Thanks guys!
Happy Mommies and babies! We made a short visit to the Mahs to bring them attempt #1 from above. It was Angie's first meeting of Tirzah. I already met Baby Lauren in the hospital but forgot to take pictures :(

Vijay and Vineetha are doing well and have adjusted to having a baby sister in the house. Vijay often comes and gives kisses to Tirzah. Vineetha often likes to share Mommy's attention and food. Vijay's favorite activity is spinning anything and everything on a flat surface. He does say more words but mostly just repeats almost any word we want him to repeat. Vineetha's favorite activities right now are buckling seat belts and reading books (or asking Mommy to read the same two books over and over). They also like to watch Baby Einstein videos that Sarah borrows for us from the public library. Thanks Sarah!

Tirzah started smiling today (23rd Jan.. she was 5 weeks on that day) and she has been smiling a few times every day since then. She sleeps 3-5 hours during the night (she did 5 hours most consistently). Last night we enjoyed a good amount of sleep and went to bed around 9:30 PM and woke up whenever she woke us up. She woke us up at 11 PM and 4:30 AM. Feeding, changing and burping takes an hour at least. Mommy gets a snack too. Cameron wakes up with me and helps me with whatever I need, including getting me a snack. It is no fun to wake up at those crazy hours but it sure helps me feel that we are a team and so thankful for his willingness to be involved (In His Providence, God gave me a wonderful husband before he gave me three babies in three years). Life is back to a routine these days and we are thankful to God for keeping us all in good health.
I had my 6week appointment after the C-section yesterday and the doctor says it is all back to normal. I do suffer with aches and pains when I overdo it around the house. There are couple of numb spots around the incision and on my left leg just above my knee. Weird! Doctor Frields says I have a 50 percent chance of regaining the sensation :( That is compartively a small loss considering what I have gained because of the surgery.
As you may have noticed if you've talked to us regularly or looked at our reading list, over the last year we have come to appreciate the ministry and example of Voddie Baucham regarding family discipleship. Cameron and I recently listened to his sermon regarding the Permanence View of Marriage after a recommendation by Danny Steinmeyer. It sure made us consider our convictions on Marriage and Divorce and our understanding of what the Scripture has to say on the subject, and it has instigated a lot of discussion on the subject.

What wonderful pictures, Jo! Praise God that you are all doing well and finding your new normal :)
Congratulations on a new van! What a wonderful provision! It looks very nice and that is great that you didn't go into debt for it! Thanks for the update :)
THanks for all the great pictures, Joanna. Tirzah sure is cute! So excited about your new van and to hear that you have such a helpful, encouraging husband! With three you need all the helping hands you can get. :)
It's so fun to see all the kids. :) Tirzah is such a pretty little thing. Love the van, ours has been a must have for years now. As to the numb spots, I can relate. With Alex I had a rough epidural and now have 2-3 inch round spot on my back that is completely numb. It is very weird. Love you guys.
I was here! ;) I enjoyed looking at the pics and getting to know your fam! It was great to see pics of Gayle, Nanci, and XiaXuan too! Is Gayle still teaching English in Afghan?
gorgeous family:)
Beautiful pictures! So cute of all the kiddos sleeping together. It's fun that Tirzah is smiling...I love it when they start being more interactive. Lauren just started smiling here and there. Can't believe how big our girls are already getting! :-)
Great pictures (as usual! :-) ). Really looking forward to our trip out west to see you all! Tirzah reminds me a little bit of Jayakar. :-) And you will love having the van to tote everyone around in! They're great for families! Love you all!
