Update!

Dr. Frields with one-week-old Vineetha. We are thankful for his care and for being available at any time after we came home.

Mom came to help us for three weeks. Its her first time being away from Dad for that long and she's not really enthused about flying. Thank you Mom for taking the big step. Thank you Dad for sending Mom. We appreciate your love and care. It is only the beginning of her trips. :P Next year, Mom and Dad will be with Aimee in Arkansas (Lord willing) to enjoy their third grandchild :)

Nanci and Gayle visited with us for couple of hours. Kristin and little Iris came at the same time. but my camera ran out of battery and I don't have pictures of them. :(

Last year we went to Lombardi Ranch with my parents and Vijay as a newborn baby. This year we went with Mom and Vineetha as a newborn :)

All dressed up for her first church service. This cute knitted outfit was made by Mom.

Just to update you all, we enjoyed time with Mom here and she was a great help as we adjusted to caring for Vineetha. Vineetha sleeps four to five hours in the night and still sleeps a lot during the day. We seriously considering giving her the nickname 'Bubbles' b'cos she burps very loud and clear and needs to be burped a lot. Her crying is very loud and sharp so the challenge is to not let her cry too much during the night so she won't wake up her brother. Vijay has finally adjusted to having a new baby in the house. He makes all kind of new sounds and imitates how Vineetha cries. He still likes to cruise around and crawl everywhere and he is just beginning to stand on his own without holding onto anything. He eats most of our food as long as the texture doesn't bother him. He drinks lots of water from his sippy cup but still hasn't figured out how to hold it up while sitting.

I've said it before, but Vijay is so photogenic! I love the pic of him in the car. So sweet. And Vineetha is just precious in her little Sunday outfit. :-)

Thanks for your great update and all the pictures. Nice to know how the kiddos are developing as we have yet to meet either one of them.

Enjoyed every minute there (even the hard times when Vineetha was not sleeping much at night). :-) Glad to hear that Vijay is adjusting. :-) Give them both kisses from Grandma and Grampa! Love you all!
