Here is a picture from earlier today...Vijay has been on a sleep marathon starting last night. He is sleeping pretty much sleeping most of the time. We wonder if it is a growth spurt. [This was the original post; at the moment he is far from sleepy, as my ears can attest. :P ]
These were given at the baby shower held last Saturday for me and Vijay. Phyllis Hughes is a former coworker of mine and her son Matt is Cameron's former coworker. We always wondered where Matt got his sense of humor but now we know. :) Phyllis embroidered these on the bibs.
There were plenty of fun gifts for Vijay and we are so thankful for everyone who gave. In the moment it is always awkward for me to open gifts at showers while all my friends are watching and waiting. :-S

Vijay fell asleep in my lap late at night on the 9th, and Daddy thought it was cute enough to get a picture.
Yep, more sleepy baby pics...here is Vijay in his bassinet on the 10th of October. It's so cute to see the various postures he chooses to sleep in when he's not all swaddled up. :)
The same day (yes, he does wake up sometimes) we also took Thatha and Amamma to see a bit of the TMC campus. Of course, Vijay had to sit at Daddy's desk on his first visit.
Last Saturday we all went out to Oxnard State Beach and Park. The last time we were here was on our honeymoon almost two years ago. :) It was Vijay's and his grandparents' first time to see the Pacific Ocean.
Too many long nights had finally gotten to Mommy and Vijay by the 15th...here they are just after 12 am. Daddy took this picture of his poor babies.
Here is Vijay (and Daddy) all ready to root for the greatest baseball team ever, the Boston Red Sox, thanks to Nana Savage. :D

Can't say I envy you with your sleepless nights, but it will get WAY better. I remember some nights when Jaida was a few weeks old that she just would not settle alone, so I slept on our leather loveseat (very uncomfortable and cold I might add)and she slept wonderfully on mommy's chest.
I will have to agree that Vijay is so cute and tiny. Can't even remember Jaida being that small and it was just 7 months ago.
I think he is changing and getting big from the last time I saw him! He is really cute!!!

He got bigger than last time that we saw. He is very very cute. When Caleb was born, he was pretty big for me, but I was glad that he was not more than 8 pounds. It is hard for first 3 months because you do not get much sleep, but he will get used to your schedule if you follow the schedule and eventually he will sleep through the nights. Caleb follows the schedule very well, but he still does not sleep through the nights.
I am so glad that things are going so well Jo!! Cherish this time when he is sooo new it goes by so quickly!
