Our baby is here!! Vijay Nathanael Savage was born on September 20, 2007, weighing in at 6 lbs. 3 oz. and measuring 19-1/4 inches long. Joanna is resting well and Vijay is healthy and active. Our doctor says to watch out for our active and alert baby because he seems to have a mind of his own. :) For starters, he insisted on staying upright throughout the pregnancy...kind of like his father. :D
After some "up" time he zonked out pretty well. He looks so cute when he's sleeping...making little noises from time to time...As I watch and listen to our little blessing I am struck by how delicate and needy we are when we first come into the world. God's gracious design for the family is evident in that He has wonderfully provided parents to protect their children and guide them toward maturity. May we as parents (including those parents who read this) take to heart the responsibility that we have in this task and the great opportunity we have herein to impact the life of another...and another...our children.

Oh my goodness, its a remarkable day for me. I am SOOOO happy. I have no words!!! Cameron, it was so wonderful to see you and the baby. Akka, you are so strong. I praise God for "Little Nathaneal". He is SO CUTE!

what a perfect name! vijay indeed looks strong and healthy just like his parents :) he's the exact size stephen was when he was born too! :) dave and i have been praying for ya'll and are sooo glad to see our prayers answered. we will continue to pray .. . .for a fast healing/recovery for joanna, grace and patience for cameron, and that vijay will grow in wisdom, stature, and favor with God and man!

How precious gifrt from the Lord!! He is so so so cute and great mix of Indian woman and Maine man. We will keep your family in our prayer for your recovery from your c-section, busy sleepless nights first few weeks and your baby's health. We would love to come and visit you guys as you visited us.
