Dec.24, 2006 We are at Bangalore airport waiting for our delayed flight. The flight to Hyderabad is supposed to leave at 10pm and got delayed to 1:15AM and again to 2:30 AM. We are both hoping we wont miss our flight to Vizag at 10:30. Looks like the ending and the beginning of this trip to Bangalore are the worst parts. We took a train to Hyderabad on 21st early morning. It is a 3rd class sleeper compartment and it was the worst choice. My only thought to choose that was to give Cameron a real train experience and I’ve forgotten the state of the railway system here. We were on that train from 4:30AM to 6PM. Vendors and beggars were frequent visitors and bathrooms were nasty. We did our best to minimize our visits to the bathroom. We didn’t pack any lunch and we didn’t dare to buy food from the vendors. Providentially there was a family who sat next to us and directed us to some good food place in Vijayawada station. We got to the hotel in Hyderabad and Rebecca’s uncle(Rebacca is David’s fiance) came to visit us and took us out to dinner. We were tired but it was good to get out. We were happy to see David again and meet Rebecca for the first time. We quickly became good friends. We also had an opportunity to visit with my old friend Roja, her husband Raju and her two kids. Traffic is terrible in Bangalore and my friend prepared lunch for us and was waiting and we didn’t show up until 5pm. Every time we were on the road, my throat was irritated and I coughed. Rebecca’s parents arranged a small party so their relatives in Bangalore could meet David. So we needed clothes for the party so we went shopping with David and Sam (Rebacca’s brother) and found some good clothing for both of us. I will put pictures on the blog when I get them from David. After the party we went around the town and ate at McDonald’s. Their Big Macs are called Maharajah Macs and it is all chicken. We liked them. We spent the night at the airport and we got here at 12:30 PM. So glad to be back in Vizag. We celebrated Christmas Eve with Injeti family (Moses, Sue, Supriya and Isaac). Cameron enjoyed potato soup for change. Today (25th) we had another Christmas service at my parents church and Cameron sang a solo 'Joy to the world'. Cameron is getting tired of eating rice and curry so we didn't have any lunch yet. He is enjoying tea and biscuits, chatting with my cousins and watching news.
And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit. 2 Cor. 3:18
