Jubilate Deo 2021

Jocelyn McLeran emailed me while we are in CO reminding us about this summer music camp and that there is a camp available for us to stay if we decide to register. So I registered right away from my phone. When we came back from CO, Cameron and I were sick with COVID but God in his mercy healed us and were able to go the camp. Our morning Scripture reading prior to the camp is 1 Chronicles and we were reading about how the Israelites served God with singing, playing instruments and dancing. Everything was done in order and each person was assigned of their role. Little did we know that God was preparing us to show that exact thing during this camp. The young ones were taught to sing together beautifully. They were taught to dance communally. There was much planning and preparation involved and it all went smoothly.

The kids started the day with chapel at 8:30 each morning.

Yohan finished his session at 12.   Cameron and I went around town to get necessary things for our stay and picked him up, ate lunch and checked out the city.

Wednesday and Thursday, we enjoyed lectures on Psalms, singing, chanting and music.

Here are some of the pictures of the music camp and our evening fun at the camp.

Vijay caught his first catfish on his first evening there. There was much joy!

Thanks to Pastor Davis, we enjoyed delicious Louisiana food at this place. I got Crawfish dish that came with rice, which was scrumptious.

All the girls decided to go on a boat ride and they even sang 'row row row your boat.' while Amanda and I enjoyed chatting about life, sitting on a bench swing, under a tree.

Yohan got very sick Friday night with a stomach bug or food poisoning. He slept through most of the concert. We are thankful to God for the healing.

Enjoyed worshipping with them in Monroe, Louisiana and fellowshipping over delicious food after the service before we hit the road to get home.
