Remembering Amma, who is the definition of motherhood. She not only put a lot of effort to cook delicious food for us, but she fed us with spiritual food by continuously pointing us to the Bread of Life. She gave herself in loving her husband, children (and their spouses), grandchildren, church family, neighbors and all those she met in any place. Her love was displayed both in her words and works of kindness. She served, sang, prayed, kissed and hugged, showed hospitality, visited the sick, comforted the grieving and met the needs of the poor. She did it all with a sweet smile. She loved beautiful things and flowering plants brought her much joy. More than missing her, I'm filled with gratitude that my heavenly Father gave her rest nine years ago today.
