We planned this surprise trip with only the help of Cameron's brother Aaron, who did a good job of keeping our trip a secret and who picked us up at the airport. Our first time meeting Cameron's niece Aliza was at Aaron's home.
There was a big family and friends get-together planned at Aaron's house that day so we got to see almost everyone on the day we landed. The kids did extremely well on the plane and we are very thankful to God for such a smooth journey.
The Kevin & Lauretta Savage crew / Cousins with all their babies
With both sets of Cameron's grandparents!
Vijay and Vineetha enjoyed their time at Grampa and Nana's house. Grampa let them climb his tractor and even gave a ride to Vijay later (Vineetha refused to ride). We walked to the pond to throw rocks and touch a frog that Grampa caught for them. We later made a DVD of our trip and it's because of the video of the pond hike that our kids often (very often) request to watch this DVD, which they call 'Grampa' (said request in the following form: "wa gwapa?"). Thank you, Grampa and Nana Savage for taking good care of all of us. And a special thanks to Great-Grampa and Great-Nana Savage (Cameron's grandparents) for putting us up the first night at the last minute.
Aliza and Tirzah playing together! Aunt Jo got to hold Aliza for a little bit.
It was a great weather and we got to enjoy beautiful scenic Portland Headlight. Vijay enjoyed walking with Grampa quite a bit.
Trying for a family picture!
Aliza and Vineetha enjoyed some dirt in the parking lot / Aliza finally got friendly enough to sit in Uncle Cameron's lap

What a great suprise! :) I wish we could have been there to meet you all. Everyone looks great.
Great trip! I'm glad to see the Savage clan and it's been a while since I've gone to Aimee's fb page to see how her fam is doing. When did you guys go? Coz if it was recent, I would have expected it to be colder than the "T-shirt and shorts" weather I saw in the pics. :)
Fun times! Looking forward to part 2 post. :-) Oh, and I happened to glance at the tickers...Happy 10 month birthday, Tirzah!
What a fun surprise trip!! Glad you had the opportunity to go. Your little ones are getting so big and just so very cute :)
Great pictures guys!! We're looking forward to seeing "Part II"
