Mother's Day 2009

On Mother's Day this year, we have increasing reason to be thankful for the family he has blessed us with. As a husband and father, I am thankful beyond words (and this is a minor attempt at expressing my thanks) for the wife that God has blessed me with and for the children He has entrusted us with. Vijay and Vineetha have a wonderful, caring mother who loves them dearly and spends a great deal of her energy providing for their needs on a moment-by-moment basis.

Constant work is not all that characterizes this work of motherhood. There are many blessings that come with staying at home to take care of the kids, and even I get to experience some of these moments while I am at home and especially on the weekends. The pictures that you see on this blog are even smaller glimpses of the joys of motherhood.

While there are also trying days along this journey of parenthood that we have begun, we are excited as we watch our children grow in their interaction with us and with each other. We love Vijay and Vineetha with all of our hearts, and we can't possibly imagine what life would be like without them. We sometimes find it difficult to think of having another little boy who isn't Vijay or another girl who isn't Vineetha, and we are solidly convinced that we have the two most adorable children in the world. :)

However, our gracious Father in Heaven has chosen another entrant for the contest! We have known (as have some of you) for awhile but we wanted to officially announce that we are expecting another little Indian Savage, arriving (Lord willing) sometime in the middle of December. :D

In keeping with tradition (and because we are further along this time) we are including both of the "official" pictures. We'll keep you posted (however irregularly) in the coming weeks!
