Thankfully, he didn't get any shots this time. I think he weighs more than that now since he fully recovered from his cold and is eating normal again. The doctor was asking us if he was doing particular things related to his age, but he wasn't at that point. Since then, however, he has been doing lots of things that really surprise us. He imitates daddy when he shakes his head as if to say 'No'. He is now very good about playing all by himself if I leave him on the floor with toys. It is actually better sometimes if I am out of sight. So I'm enjoying this new short lived freedom; I'm glad he doesn't crawl yet b'cos I will be very busy again soon.
My pregnancy is going well and my sixth month appointment went smoothly. No ultrasound though! The gestational diabetes screen came back positive so they sent me for the second test...hope I'll pass that one next week. Sleep is not too much fun these days, with lots of tossing and turning. This baby seems big and I am wondering if it is a boy again. Other than being tired, it is pretty smooth pregnancy, by God's grace.

We went camping for a night in San Diego and went to the San Diego Zoo the next day. Vijay and I were waiting on the sidewalk while Daddy was loading up the car. The Steinmeyers graciously let us borrow their nice camping tent.
We took the bus tour around the zoo so we could see as much as possible without having to walk (and carry or push our little ones), and we took a little drive around the elephants. Later on, we walked to where the Polar Bears lived and then returned to the exit on the other side of the zoo via the Skyfari (cable cars).

Glad you had a fun weekend in San Diego! We love the pic of Vijay in the pack 'n play...nice straight jacket, er I mean swaddle! ha ha Just teasing. :-) He looks all snug and cozy. Oh, and Katie has that same pack 'n play.
I just looked at the picture again and realized it is a sweatshirt around him. Good job at being creative! :-)
You guys are brave to have gone camping with a 9 month old! vijay is looking great and I'm glad to hear he's allowing mommy to have some space. =)
Vijay is such a doll:) I really hope it was a false positive...I had gestational with B and it was no fun. I got through it just fine, but I'm praying I don't get it this time:) Hopefully your test comes back negative:)
