Vijay had his six month appointment with his doctor on April 1st. By God's grace, he had never been sick until the day before the appointment; that day he had a runny nose, lots of sneezing and watery eyes. I couldn't tell if he had a cold or allergies. In addition to that, the next day (day of the visit to the doctor) he got his second set of shots. That evening he had a slight fever and did not want to sleep on his back, even after we gave him Tylenol. He finally fell asleep in the swing for a few hours that night; he recovered very well and even the cold symptoms went away. For those of you who knew that he was not willing to take a bottle, he is drinking out of a bottle very happily now. I started him on rice cereal on the 20th of last month (officially his 6 month b'day). For the first few days, he was pushing everything back out but eventually he got the hang of eating solid food. I gave him Barley cereal today for the first time, and he didn't give much trouble. His official stats as of April 1st are: Weight 16lbs 12 oz (45%); Height 28-1/2" (90%) and Head circ. 17-1/2" (75%). Vijay talks more and more each day, enjoys standing in his Exersaucer longer
and has even started to sit longer in his booster seat. He is very good about taking his three naps every day, eats five times and sleeps for 11 hours in the night. We enjoy him and are constantly thrilled with his smiles. He is still our baby boy even though lot of people say he looks older than his age.

He'll always be your baby! Yes, praise God for the good news on health and development. You'd never know he was born early now that he's gaining weight so well. Joanna, he's got your big, brown, beautiful eyes!
Wow! He's as tall as Luke is now! He's going to be a tall one! :) And he's only 1 pound lighter than Luke was at 6 months - he's catching up. I wonder if he'll start bypassing Luke at some point? :)
Wow, Jo! I can't believe that he is 6 months already! He is sooo handsome and I love his fuzzy hair. I am glad to hear that he is doing well and growing like a weed!! Miss you guys!
