That evening, Timber and Georgia (again, also expecting!) came over and we all enjoyed Indian food for dinner and played 'Apples to Apples'. Early on Monday morning my friend Sarah called with the exciting news that she had already had her baby! (She wasn't due until the 4th!) Cameron and I visited them at the hospital. The day was very hot so we stayed home most of the day and then went to Point Mugu Beach in the Oxnard area bringing sandwiches, chips, and sodas (not pop!). Dad found a route on the map and it was a winding road up and down the hills but we tried to enjoy the ride while Cameron focused on driving. We were so glad that Dad rented a car rather than taking our stick-shift.
On Tuesday we took off to 100 Giants (Sequoia National Monument) and we ended up taking another long winding route (thanks to Dad, again!). We stopped at a park close to Lake Isabella and enjoyed our picnic lunch by a pleasant stream.
We finally saw those huge old trees by mid-afternoon. We stopped at In-n-Out on the way back and took our dinner home. With that road trip, we were done with long trips. We watched 'The Incredibles' that night and then spent the next couple of days at home. Mom taught me sewing and I'm doing some basic sewing these days. We visited Georgia's home, Nanci's home and also the Paradises. My cousin Elisha came for dinner Thursday night too. It was a very good time and we hope they will come back again before we move out of California.

Hooray for updates! I'm glad you had a good visit!! This is a weird question, but why does that door behind you in the last picture look so huge?? It's really strange looking. :o)
