Arizona Trip - June 9, 2007

At Chase Field -- home of the Diamondbacks

US Airways Center

Red Sox batting practice

We took a trip to Phoenix, AZ to watch the Red Sox play against the Diamondbacks. We left Friday evening and got there late and stayed in a hotel. It is our first time in a hotel in the US after being married. We were both too tired even to enjoy being in a nice hotel but we sure were glad to find a nice cool room and a bed in the midst of Arizona heat. We planned to enjoy the free continental breakfast but by the time we got up, it was 10:30 :( so we missed breakfast but we thought of a great idea. Cameron got on the Internet and found the nearest Cracker Barrel on our way to the game. So we enjoyed a nice southern meal and went early to the game. We walked around a little but it was very hot so we decided to go inside (air-conditioned stadium!) and watch them practice. The game started very slow but we were very happy when the Red Sox started making some progress and eventually won the game in the 10th inning. It was a very good game. I am able to follow a baseball game now and not get it mixed up with Cricket.

You were so close to us! If you ate at the Cracker Barrel in Chandler off the 10 then you were only 2 miles from our house! Next time you come make sure you stay with us! We're much cheaper then a hotel!
